Travel Vaccinations

The Travel clinic is to give vaccinations and advice to those travelling abroad. If you require travel vaccinations or information please pick up a travel questionnaire from reception or download one here (PDF, 425KB). Please return the completed form to the surgery.

In order to obtain the best from our travel service, we request that you return the completed questionnaire at least 6 to 8 weeks before your departure date.

Antenatal

This clinic is run by the midwives. Which currently run from Sure Start. If you become pregnant, you must arrange a ‘booking appointment’ at which the midwife will ask you a few questions and carry out some general health checks.

Child health and immunisation

All new babies are invited for regular check-ups from eight weeks old. All other immunisations are carried out by appointment with our Practice Nurse

Minor surgery

Minor procedures can be carried in our treatment room. Please discuss this with your doctor who will then arrange for you to be given an appointment.

Diabetes Annual Checks

With our Practice Nurse this clinic offers advice and general health check-ups to patients diagnosed with diabetes.

Asthma

Asthma sufferers should be seen on an annual basis you can book to attend this clinic for advice and support from our nurses who specialise in asthma care.

Stopping smoking

This clinic is run by our Assistant Practitioner, this clinic gives advice and support to patients trying to give up smoking.

Specialist and hospital care

If a GP or another member of our health care team believes you need hospital treatment or specialist care elsewhere, they will ask you where and when you would like to go. They can then book your appointment electronically while you wait. If you would prefer to have some time to think before deciding where and when to have treatment, you will be offered the option of calling the practice later and we will be able to book your appointment then.
